Energy Performance Certificates

The Club have heard from a lot of owners in recent months with concerns about any changes to the present energy performance certificate scheme. As things stand, most domestic listed buildings are exempt from an EPC at the point of sale in England and Wales, however, it would only take very small changes for this exemption to disappear, as has happened in Scotland.

While we strongly support owners making their homes as efficient as they reasonably can be, we also strongly disagree with the use of EPCs to try and force listed buildings to do so at great expense to the owner, and support the continuation of legal exemption.
