The Club are happy to announce that our Listed Property Forums will be continuing in 2020, bringing owners across the UK a chance to meet with their representatives and voice their concerns in person.
In 2020 we have confirmed our first forum in Scotland, hosted by Claire Baker at the Engine Shed in Stirling on the 5th of June. The forum will cover the whole Mid Scotland and Fife electoral regions, with MSPs invited from the whole area. We will also have Historic Environment Scotland represented at the forum, as well as our own independent advisers and experts from the local area.
We are also arranging forums in Somerton and Frome on the 13th of June, and in the Cotswolds on the 27th of June. These are huge hotspots for listed buildings, with almost ten thousand historic properties between them. Their two MPs, David Warburton and Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown are both strong supporters of listed property owners and we will announce venues as soon as they are confirmed.
All our forums are a great opportunity to come out and impress on your MPs, MSPs and AMs the need for change. These occasions mean you can show just how much of an impact issues like tax and planning have on you.
To read the full story, see the latest issue of Listed Heritage, the Club’s 160 page bi-monthly magazine. Every issue includes a dedicated section on our lobbying efforts, as well as news, features and technical guidance from across the heritage sector.
